Bassist, improviser, composer and spoken word, the consummate professional, his recent shows include The Cecil Taylor Trio (Best Performances of 2009, All About Jazz), his Bassentric series at the 5C Jazz Cafe & the Stone, solo performances at Harlems' Open Shoppe Gallery, The Bowery Poetry Club, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Evolving Voice Series, and Vision Festival as well as duo's with musicians, dancers and/or poetry.

A poet of major significance on NYC's downtown scene. Active in the Free jazz scene his work spans the spectrum from solo readings, and duo performances, to performing with bands at the NYC Vision Festival. His many publications include his latest "The Final Nite & other Poems: complete Notes From A Charles Gayle Notebook 1987-2006 (Ugly Duckling Press 2006)

A visual artist and bilingual poet (poetry & haiku). Her poetry has been heard in every NYC venue from the Bowery Poetry Club to the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe.
